Conquered Peaks is a proud supporter of Protect Our Winters, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that focuses its efforts on legislation regarding climate change. Conquered Peaks is a community based on our collective enjoyment of nature and outdoor recreation. Accordingly, we believe that nature is the common heritage of all humankind and that it is the right of our children and grandchildren to experience it's grandeur and connect with it as we have.
Protect Our Winters advocates for positive action on climate change to ensure a sustainable future for outdoor enthusiasts worldwide. Anthropogenic Global Warming is real, humans are causing it and it's effects are clearly being felt in the mountains, winter after winter. It is clear that urgent action is required to preserve the natural environment that we all take for granted and we at Conquered Peaks support POW's cause for positive climate action.
"I've seen definitive change in the mountains. I have concerns for the future generation. We inherit the earth from the people in front of us, and then we pass it on to the next generation. I don't think we've done a great job with our responsibility to leave the earth a better place than what we were born into." - Jeremy Jones, Founder of POW
The preservation of the outdoor environment runs deeper for us than simply staying in business! Our community is diverse and scattered all across the world but we are banded together by our personal connections with the outdoors and none of us would be the people we are today without it. Help us in our mission to enjoy outdoor spaces and the sports and activities that unite us!
